Welcome! Come In and Visit My Art Studio.

Let me guess—your first question is “What do you do in your art studio?” I’m a painter, a photographer, and a lover of art. Art and history inspire me. I enjoy having guests visit my studio.

I love old buildings and country scenes. Lighthouses, ships under sail and all things nautical are of special interest. Art and history are my passions, and sharing my vision about them with others is why I paint.

During your visit, you’ll discover what inspires me to paint. My studio includes comfortable areas for painting, photography, Giclée printing and art print framing. Bookshelves hold my reference library. A gallery of my original art, art prints and fine art collectables are displayed for patrons and visitors to my studio.

Come visit my studio and see how I paint—an interesting step-by step guide to one of my paintings is included. Many of my studio visitors are interested in the paper, paint, brushes and other supplies that I use, and I include my favorites and why you’ll find them in my studio.

Explore valuable information I’ve gathered on fine art prints. Learn about the interesting world of art prints and the do’s and don’ts for buying and collecting prints.

Don’t miss the Heritage Series—a series of paintings showing a historic place, building, ship or lighthouse as it appeared at an earlier time. Many are not here any more, or may have changed in some way as time passed. I look at these things and wonder what did that look like and why did someone build it. I like thinking about who that person was, what their life was like, and what did they think about during the time they were working on the project.

You’ll find many links to the Glossary—a dictionary of sorts to provide more detailed information about terms used and places mentioned.

My art studio is part of my home in the rolling hills of south central Pennsylvania. My wife and I would like to invite you to relax, make yourself comfortable, and enjoy your virtual visit. And—be prepared for some friendly meows from Ginger and Slick, the feline members of our household.
